Reasonable Service Modification - In accordance with guidelines provided by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), it is Allegany County Transit’s policy to provide reasonable service modifications when requested to do so by individuals with disabilities who, without such modification, would not be able to fully use Allegany County Transit services, programs, or activities for their intended purpose. Requests for modifications are considered on a case-by-case basis. If you would like us to consider a reasonable service modification, please call the transit office at 301-722-6360.
"Request stops” These stops are along a particular route but not routinely served as part of the route. If there is a "by request" listed at a stop, and you are on the bus, be sure to ask the driver to stop at that location. If you want to be picked up from a “by Request” location, please call ahead of the bus arrival time, or anytime between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., so we can be sure to let the driver know. If there is no time listed on the schedule for a particular location, but it is along the route, simply ask the driver to let you off as close as possible. The driver will stop at the safest location near your destination.
